Jan Kirkland Hogue, TIER Lead Research Assistant, graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences, and a Master of Science in Audiology. She served twenty-eight plus years working for the State of Mississippi in various capacities that include: Audiologist and Coordinator of Rehabilitation Services for Physically Impaired Patients at Mississippi State Hospital. Nineteen years of her career were at the Mississippi State Department of Education serving in all positions in the Office of Student Assessment. Mrs. Hogue retired from the Mississippi State Department of Education in 2013. Jan lives in Madison, Mississippi, with her husband, Charlie. She is the mother of two sons, Craig Howard Kirkland, Jr., and Clayton Kirkland. She is an active member of Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church, The Jackson Area Alumnae Association of Delta Gamma, and the Madison Garden Club. Jan and Charlie are the proud owners of three dogs and a cat.
